About me
I'm a young handcrafter currently living in Switzerland. Born in a creative family, I grew up between yarns, fabrics and wood chips. It's then no surprise that I became creative myself, starting sewing during teenage. It's in 2011 that I discovered tablet weaving and got nerdy about it.
Handcrafting isn't my job but my passion, which doesn't keep me away from always trying to get better. I go to workshops, meet handcrafters I admire and talk with many other amateurs. About tablet weaving, I study closely historical sources and try as much as possible to be historically correct. This lead me to explore all steps of fiber working, especially spinning. The ultimate goal would be to have sheep in front of the door and do the whole process until finished clothes. One day maybe ?
I lived two years in Sweden, which brought me closer to scandinavian history. I worked with the museum of Gamla Uppsala and the university faculty related to it. I got particularly interested in Iron Age, especially the Vendel period. In general, I prefer older times, from prehistory to Viking Age. However, I also have interest in some modern styles, notably steampunk. I also like the medieval-fantasy universe, for which I often create costumes, trying to get out of the latex-cliché to get to more quality of materials and work.
Orders are a source of joy for me, because giving life to someone's idea is an fascinating process. Every project is unique and leads to discoveries and interesting challenges. So don't hesitate to contact me for any question or order !

Environment
Caring about the environment is very important for me. Therefore, I always try to pollute as little as possible, to not support products implying damage for nature, animals or human beings. Of course, this is a complex question and it's very difficult to have a 100% sustainable production.
Materials are the basic point on which I put effort, especially about where they come from (read further down below). I am also using a lot of recycled materials. I often buy yarns and fabrics in second-hand stores, I dumpster all the leather I use and I work only with recycled fur and bones. I am always as clear as possible on these points about my creations.
Materials
Wool is the fiber I use the most in tablet weaving. My favourites ones are : the one dyed with plants by Micky's Workshop (FR), the ones from Järbo Garn and the 'Mora' from Borgs Vävgarner (SE). I only use european wools, regularly testing different ones from Great Britain, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland...
I never use synthetic fibers for tablet weaving. For sewing, it happens that I do, for example when using recycled fabrics. It also happens that I buy a bit of mixed fabrics, because purely natural fabrics are so hard to find.
For woodworking, I use only local woods, refusing to work with tropical ones. I often find my wood thanks to farmers and woodworkers friends.
